Spot Marks The X (a tale of nostalgia, tragedy, and videotape)

Spot Marks The X is a Walt Disney Presents Sunday night movie, which aired only once on May 17, 1987. My mother recorded it on video tape for us kids during one of the times when the Disney Channel was giving a free preview.

We watched that tape over and over again, learning the dialog by heart. That black and white dog is permanently imprinted in our memories. Unfortunately, the video cassette is long gone (and probably recorded over with an episode of Sliders to boot). If only we had a copy of that tape! The childhood memories we could relive!

Thus, this site is born. My sister and I figure that if we make a comprehensive enough site, collecting as much information and trivia about this little movie as possible, some kind-hearted kindred spirit will emerge out of the internet wood-work and bestow upon us the best of gifts: a duped video tape of Spot Marks the X (which we would share with you of course, gentle readers).
